CRACKER WAS MY BABY. I GOT HIM WHEN HE WAS ONLY 5 WEEKS OLD. HE WAS A LONG HAIRED GINGER AND WHITE CAT AND VERY HANDSOME. I DON'T THINK I WILL EVER GET OVER LOSING YOU. I MISS SO MUCH BABY.
HE USED TO TALK (NO I'M NOT CRAZY I HAVE WITNESSES).
HE WOULD TELL ME IF HE WAS HUNGRY OR WANTED OUT. I LOVED JUST COMING HOME TO SEE HIM.
HIS FAVOURITE TRICK WAS INSTEAD BRINGING DIED MICE HOME , HE WOULD RATHER BRING CARRIER BAGS (YES VERY ODD BUT I DIDN'T MIND) I REMEMBER ONE TIME HE BROUGHT A SOLID ICE COLD DEAD BIRD HOME THROUGH THE CAT FLAP, MY HUBBY WAS LYING ON THE COUCH AND CRACKER JUMPED UP AND CHUCKED THE DEAD BIRD AT HIM. IT WAS FUNNY. I HAVE NEVER SEEN MY HUBBY MOVE SO FAST IN HIS LIFE.
CRACKER CAME HOME ONE MORNING IN ALOT OF PAIN. SO I GRAB AND TOOK HIM STRAIGHT TO THE VETS. I WAS TOLD THAT HE HAD BLOT CLOTS IN HIS BACK LEGS. LATER I FOUND HE HAD AN ENLARGED HEART. HE DIDN'T GET ANY BETTER. AFTER 2 WEEKS I HAD TO MAKE THAT FINAL DECISION. I KNOW IT WAS THE RIGHT ONE BUT IT WAS HARD.
AFTER HE WENT I DIDN'T WANT TO GO HOME ANYMORE. I FELT MY WORLD HAD ENDED. SATURN MY OTHER CAT MISSED HIM SO MUCH TOO. SHE WAS ALWAYS PINNING FOR HIM. I FELT I HAD LOST A REAL BABY. STILL TO THIS DAY I THINK OF HIM.
I FOUND THE STRENGTH TO LOVE MORE CATS AND I HAVE NOW GOT 3. YES I STILL HAVE SATURN (FEMALE) WHO IS THE SAME AGE CRACKER WOULD HAVE BEEN IF HE WAS STILL ALIVE. I THINK DEEP DOWN SHE IS STILL MISSING HIM COS SHE HATES MY 2 BOY CATS.
RECENTLY FOR SOME STRANGE REASON, MY NEIGHBOURS CAT HAS MOVED IN. YES GUESS WHAT? HES LONG HAIRED, GINGER AND WHITE TOO. HE GETS SPOILT IN MY HOUSEHOLD AND IS NOW PART OF OUR FAMILY.
CRACKER WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART EVERY SINGLE DAY
MISS U BABY
CRACKER WITH LOVE
When God created kitty cats,
He had no recipe;
He knew He wanted something sweet,
As sweet as sweet could be.
He started out with sugar,
Adding just a trace of spice;
Then stirred in drops of morning dew,
To keep them fresh and nice.
He made them into acrobats,
And gave them grace and poise;
Their wide-eyed curiosity,
He took from little boys.
He put whiskers on their faces,
Gave them tiny ears for caps;
Then shaped their little bodies,
To snugly fit on laps.
When one jumped up upon His lap,
God gently stroked its head;
The cat gave Him a kitty kiss,
"What wondrous love," God said.
God smiled at His accomplishment,
So pleased with His creation;
And said, with pride, as He sat back,
"At last. . .I've reached purr-fection!"

Precious Love
The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.
Had I not loved so very much...
I would not hurt so much.
But God knows I would not want to diminish
that precious love...
By one fraction of an ounce.
I will hurt...
And I will be grateful for that hurt
For it bears witness to the depth of my love.
And for that I will be eternally grateful.

~ Cat Heaven (by Cynthia Rylant) ~
The way to Cat Heaven is a field of sweet grass
where crickets and butterflies play.
A cat may be late getting to Heaven...
there is so much fun on the way!
But an angel will wait at the yellow front door
wait till a kitty comes home.
And when he arrives she'll give him a kiss and
some milk in a bowl of his own.
There are trees in Cat Heaven trees made just for cats,
trees growing so green and so high.
But no one gets stuck in a tree anymore--
if a cat wants down he will fly!
And oh all the toys kitty toys everywhere,
thousands and thousands go by.
There are buttons and baubles and
small catnip afloat in the sky!
There are angels of course with soft angel laps,
where kitties can purr loud and strong.
The angels will rub kitty’s noses and ears,
and sing them a Cat Heaven song.
And when cats are hungry there is God's kitchen counter
all covered with white kitty dishes,
full of tuna and salmon and mounds of sardines
and wonderful little pink fishes.
The cats in Cat Heaven are so loved and spoiled
God lets them all lie on his bed...
He walks in his garden with a good black book
and a kitty asleep on his head.
Then when a cat needs to he may simply ponder
and watch the blue world deep and wide....
he will watch the old house where he once lived and wandered,
and the people who loved him inside.
All cats love Heaven they know the way there
they know where the angel cats fly.
They will turn past the stars and the moon and the sun.....
to curl up with God in the sky.

♥ Unconditional Love ♥
(by Allison Chambers Coxsey)
A treasure to be cherished,
a gift from God above;
is the beauty of a friendship,
touched by unconditional love.
A love that asks no questions,
believes in all the best;
never doubting, ever trusting,
withstanding any test.
A love that weathers any storm,
and yet that love still stands;
through the very darkest hour,
it still reaches out a hand.
There in that hand the sweetest gift,
that you can give a friend;
a heart that cares, a love that shares,
that will be there till the end.
A treasure to be cherished,
a gift from God above;
is what I share with you my friend,
an unconditional love.

❁ OUR PATH NEVER ENDED ❁
(Author Unknown)
I walk in golden fields now,
my wondrous new place called home.
With flowers blooming everywhere,
on the path of our love I roam.
**********************************
Upon the doorstep of my life,
my journey reached its end.
My new home has an endless glow,
where heavenly rivers flow.
**********************************
With love I gather a sweet bouquet,
of flowers from the fields.
With love to you mommy,
whose joyfulness now yields.
**********************************
I am in a very special place,
where love will just increase.
A home that awaits you mom,
where we all find great peace.
**********************************
Right beyond sweet heaven's gate,
is a home beyond all dreams.
We walk in gardens filled with life
blessed with gentle crystal streams.
**********************************
Keep smiling like you always did,
when I walked into the room.
Joy fills this place where I wait,
Till your life with me resumes.
**********************************
Remembrances of our love you see,
like flowers scent a room.
Within our hearts, in memory,
our precious love shall bloom.

♥ ANOTHER LIT CANDLE ♥
(Author Unknown)
Our prayers are offered, our eyes wet with tears,
so sad when we hear this happening,
seems all of a sudden too many are passing.
We do what we can, but we aren’t the Great Maker.
He lends them to us, and they give us their love,
Its what they do best, it’s their gift from above.
Tonight, when you're grieving and missing him so,
just know you have friends,
some you don’t even know.
Our candles are burning,
to give him some light,
on his final last journey
as he goes home tonight.
Another lit candle to brighten his way,
another lit candle at the end of the day.
Our babies are family and try as we might,
seems nothing we say or do makes it feel alright.
Great Maker in Heaven, all angels and saints,
receive my dear baby, give him gladness and light.
Another lit candle to brighten his way,
another lit candle at the end of the day.
Our candles are burning
to give him some light,
on his final last journey,
as he goes home tonight.
AMEN

Sometimes.
Sometimes if I am very still, I can feel them
Not with my fingers that used to weave their way
through their fur...but with my heart.
Sometimes when I'm quiet, I can see them
Not with my eyes that used to shine
at the sight of their faces ~ But in those
special places nestled deep inside.
Sometimes when I'm high on the mountain,
I can hear them
Not with my ears that captured the happy
sounds they made
But from echoes in my memory.
And sometimes...
the lonely times, I feel a terrible kind of sorrow
Not in my mind that cried out in anguish when they left
But from a pain nurtured deep in my soul.
Sometimes....only sometimes...
that pain can be hard to bear. So I climb high on
the mountain, the cool wind in my hair
And remember how it once was, and feel
this fierce kind of joy.
Knowing that once upon a time for a little while...
I had it all. ~ Sometimes, it is enough.

♦♥• THE NEW DAWN •♥♦
(Author: Timothy R. Laurence)
In endless fields they leap they fly
Through sunny meadows; mountains high
No more an earthbound care have they
A new dawn breaks not end of day.
We knew them once these creatures fair
A memory now for those who shared
Their lives their hearts their love their home
So saddened now that we're alone.
But soon there comes to us a dream
A passing distant joyful scene
Where now our own pet's loving soul
Beside a friendless creature strolls.
Their new companions tell of when
They walked the earth without a friend
But now in company with our own
They've found a new and better home.
Before we know this dream is gone
We wake again but with this dawn
Our hearts are light for now at last
We know the reason why they passed.
It was for love they'd left our side
To be with those who when they died
Had left this earth afraid alone
Unquite souls who had no home.
Far better then for us to know
To those in need our friends did go
For having shared our love with them
They've left to share it now again.
In distant fields they leap they fly
And shower love on those who died
No more an earthbound care have they
A new dawn breaks not end of day.
SOLACE
(Written by Lisa Carmel Singer)
From the Silence of your pain, I heard my name
and on the wings of light I have come
to see the sadness in your eyes
that cry without tears. Can you see me, I am here.
I will always be near you,
to calm your shattered heart
and to make you smile at the memories.
Do you feel me, perhaps a soft brush of fur.
You ache to believe it's real
but you are afraid to hope
you brush away a strand of hair.
But it was I, whispering
I am only here for a moment.
The silver thread gently quivers
I will leave behind my love in a dream
When you awaken and without really knowing why
Your heart will know at last
That it is all right for now
to say goodbye.
The Journey (Part 1)
When you bring a pet into your life, you begin a journey. A journey that will bring you more love and devotion than you have ever known, yet will also test your strength and courage. If you allow, the journey will teach you many things, about life, about yourself, and most of all, about love. You will come away changed forever, for one soul cannot touch another without leaving its mark.
Along the way, you will learn much about savoring life's simple pleasures -- jumping in leaves, snoozing in the sun, the joys of puddles, and even the satisfaction of a good scratch behind the ears. If you spend much time outside, you will be taught how to truly experience every element, for no rock, leaf, or log will go unexamined, no rustling bush will be overlooked, and even the very air will be inhaled, pondered, and noted as being full of valuable information.
Your pace may be slower, except when heading home to the food dish, but you will become a better naturalist, having been taught by an expert in the field. Too many times we hike on automatic pilot, our goal being to complete the trail rather than enjoy the journey. We miss the details: the colorful mushrooms on the rotting log, the honeycomb in the old maple snag, the hawk feather caught on a twig.
Once we walk as a dog does, we discover a whole new world. We stop; we browse the landscape, we kick over leaves, peek in tree holes, look up, down, all around. And we learn what any dog knows: that nature has created a marvelously complex world that is full of surprises, that each cycle of the seasons bring ever changing wonders, each day an essence all its own.
Even from indoors you will find yourself more attuned to the world around you. You will find yourself watching: summer insects collecting on a screen; how bizarre they are; how many kinds there are or noting the flick and flash of fireflies through the dark. You will stop to observe the swirling dance of windblown leaves, or sniff the air after a rain. It does not matter that there is no objective in this; the point is in the doing, in not letting life's most important details slip by.
You will find yourself doing silly things that your pet-less friends might not understand: spending thirty minutes in the grocery aisle looking for the cat food brand your feline must have, buying dog birthday treats, or driving around the block an extra time because your pet enjoys the ride. You will roll in the snow, wrestle with chewie toys, bounce little rubber balls till your eyes cross, and even run around the house trailing your bathrobe tie with a cat in hot pursuit, all in the name of love.
Your house will become muddier and hairier. You will wear less dark clothing and buy more lint rollers. You may find dog biscuits in your pocket or purse, and feel the need to explain that an old plastic shopping bag adorns your living room rug because your cat loves the crinkly sound. You will learn the true measure of love. The steadfast, undying kind that says, "It doesn't matter where we are or what we do, or how life treats us as long as we are together."
